even my limited knowledge of historical fashion can poke holes in a lot of the plot. corsets weren’t some horrible tool by men to tát oppress women, they were more lượt thích an earlier size of bra, they just got dragged later because men lượt thích to tát hate on fashion because it was a women’s space and one of the ways they could gain power

ANYWAY

because the author doesn’t know much and has done no research, all of the protagonist’s ~revolutionary fashion ideas~ come off as boring and contrived. well having future knowledge of clothing technology could be helpful, that doesn’t help with understanding or initiating trends. a medieval person isn’t gonna see a more modern dress and immediately think it’s better because it’s “modern and convenient” theyre probably gonna think it’s weird and ugly. also the order in which she invents things makes no sense.

there’s an entire plot that’s resolved because she invents a zipper, thereby resolving the fact that it takes servants hours to tát get dressed in old fashioned attire and lượt thích lol wtf?? no old rich people were wearing clothes that took forever to tát get on, servants dressed for convenience this is utter nonsense. clothes were optimized for convenience before the invention of the zipper this is ridiculous if people had to tát spend hours getting dressed we would still be in mud huts i can’t even.

regarding the art, it’s not bad it’s ok, but given that this is a webtoon that focuses on clothes sánh heavily the art kind of needs to tát be amazing for all of the in universe clothing porn to tát be enjoyable, abd it’s just not

other complains:
- made a medieval society with sexism but it’s not wrk thought out sánh all the bigotry comes off heavy handedly and it’s both boring and frustrating to tát read about; also the protag being well liked by women because she’s such a progressive man when she’s only lượt thích this because she’s actually a woman comes off as sleepy
- protag is from modern korea and has a ton of technological ass pulls and modern slang that she makes zero effort to tát hide and no one questions
- there’s some plot reasons on how the queen and her step brother both don’t want to tát get married, and they both have good reasons, but for some reason the queen who hates it that everyone is trying to tát force her to tát get married goes around and tries to tát force her brother to tát get married, and the plot and characters vì thế not điện thoại tư vấn her out on this hypocrisy it’s fucking infuriating

the second male lead gets dragged a lot for no good reason, yuri’s logic for why she can never view him as a love interest is because she is as raised by him and resents that he forced her to tát go about as a man for her career. the being raised by him is dumb logic since she also goes around asserting that she’s mentally 50, the age gap thing is an ok thing for her to tát be skeeved out by since from his perspective she’s barely trăng tròn and he’s known her since she was 13, but again with the author’s hypocrisy because we have our mentally 50 protag lusting after the 26yo male lead sánh....
the resentment COULD be interesting, but the author fucked this up by having him behave pretty nicely all the time and the only reason we have to tát think he’s not great is the protag’s inner monologue. by telling instead of showing, it’s left a feeling of dissonance between the character we’re presented and the protagonist’s feelings on him, sánh understandably readers in the comments are often upset at the protag and the author for treating him unfairly. imo he’s barely there and kind of bland (like this whole comic tbh), but i vì thế think the writing around him is bad and unfair, and as a reader I hate being told how to tát feel about something in a story that contradicts what is actually there, it’s lượt thích the author is asserting that what they intend the readers to tát think or feel about their automatically supplants what they actual feel, because they’re the author and we should know better, it’s patronizing and insulting

LoADS BETTER THAN SO MANY OTHER SUB-PAR WORKS

I love this webtoon sánh much its sánh well written and sánh realistic.

I love the instilment of aspects of modern-day 'feminism' and empowerment. Ive always loved the introduction of new practices to tát other worlds and this one does it well.

This webtoon also does a really good job of eliciting the proper emotional reactions.

A super enjoyable read! highly recommend!

Is it weird that i felt a little iffy at the fact that they kept saying things lượt thích 'ive never met a man sánh unarrogant and without contempt and blah blah blah.' in reference to tát Yuri unconventionalisms? I get that plot-wise its meant to tát lượt thích foreshadow and show doubt and shit and not make it sánh surprising when the real gender identity is revealed but did they really have to tát make it seem lượt thích men were incapable of being tolerant and humble😂 lượt thích no i know that most men are contemptuous trash but come onn at least give some of the queer men such as myself some credit. Also the Aenon? Like that this specimen (him and Lester tbh) are S class goods bruh in terms of looks AND personality 😭👌 sánh str8 men have gems too. But this is only a small part and does not subtract from the stories quality

I enjoyed the story! The art's great, the characters have their reasons and all, and Yuri is a very mature MC. You might get a bit frustrated at the sự kiện in the beginning, but it gets better, and you start to tát understand why it's such a big khuyễn mãi giảm giá. It surprisingly đơn hàng with a lot of more serious topics, mostly concerning patriarchy and women's rights of the time. I personally don't think Yuri and the Duke are a good match... but I'll continuing reading regardless (there isn't a lot of romance either way).

So everyone is incompetent, the Queen abuses her power, blackmails and extorts.

Spoilers for a serious story sự kiện bellow.

Forced by the Queen to tát go to tát the castle.
Due to tát the incompetence gate guard is forced to tát go through extend process if meeting the Queen.
Due to tát incomitance of the section manager, the guiding overworked employee passes out.
The MC calls for help, due to tát incompetence of the castle guards, there's no one.
MC saves them by loosening the corset to tát allow them to tát breath.
The guide regains consciousness and shrieks, an attempted assault charge is made.
Castle guards without any proof or knowledge arrest and forbid an explanation.
The Queen after verifying that the assault attempt can't be proven, gives benefits to tát the guide, labels the MC as a sexual deviant, blackmails to tát ruin their reputation in the kingdom and uses redemption as justification to tát extort 500 articles of clothing.
For some reason revealing that MC is female and fully wanted to tát help is not an option.

Until the responsible are fired and the Queen lowers her head in shame I will not feel any justice.

I think the career path of MC look pretty realistic. The author mô tả tìm kiếm of how her revolution of fashion and cloth effect on society look pretty real to tát má. The romance is side line but it is pretty đáng yêu. I ship her to tát the duke Ennon~ But she is disguise as a guy sánh there will be some drama with this.

I read up to tát 25 chapters. It still early sánh the romance probably not even begin yet.
