Mother of the Goddess' Dormitory (Japanese: 女神寮の寮母くん。, Hepburn: Megami-ryō no Ryōbo-kun, lit. "Dorm Mother of the Goddess' Dorm") is a Japanese manga series by Ikumi Hino. It was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's shōnen manga magazine Monthly Shōnen Ace from December 2017 to tướng June 2022, and was collected in nine tankōbon volumes as of August 2022. An anime television series adaptation by Asread aired from July to tướng September 2021.

Plot[edit]

Koshi Nagumo, a first year middle school student, finds himself homeless, penniless, and without relatives to tướng care for him after a house fire. As he lies on the street, he gets picked up to tướng become the "dorm mother" of a dormitory full of troubled women's university students.

Koshi Nagumo (南雲孝士, Nagumo Kōshi)

A junior high school student who gets a job at the dormitory after his house burned out and he is abandoned by his family.
Atena Saotome (早乙女あてな, Saotome Atena)
Voiced by: Ayaka Nanase[2] (Japanese); Christina Kelly[3] (English)
A resident of the dormitory with androphobia that causes her to tướng have excessive nosebleeds. She is the first to tướng come to tướng view herself as Koushi's older sister while Koushi seemingly develops a crush on her. The ending of the series implies that she ends up with Koshi.
Mineru Wachi (和知みねる, Wachi Mineru)
Voiced by: Chiaki Takahashi[2] (Japanese); Carli Mosier[3] (English)
A resident of the dormitory. She has a lab in her room within which she often creates dangerous chemicals and aphrodisiacs.
Kiriya Senshō (戦咲きりや, Senshō Kiriya)
Voiced by: Risako Murai[2] (Japanese); Katelyn Barr[3] (English)
A resident of the dormitory. She is the heir to tướng a dojo and enjoys cross-dressing and shoujo manga as well as martial arts.
Frey (フレイ, Furei)
Voiced by: Asaki Fukuyama[2] (Japanese); Melody Spade[3] (English)
A resident of the dorm. She creates and models cosplays. She often dresses up Koushi in outfits, including women's clothing, much to tướng his embarrassment.
Serene Hozumi (八月朔日せれね, Hozumi Serene)
Voiced by: Yuki Yomichi[2] (Japanese); Natalie Rial[3] (English)
A resident of the dormitory. She claims she is actually an alien, and derives her powers from the Moon.
Sutea Koroya (香炉野すてあ, Kōroya Sutea)
Voiced by: Hikaru Nanjō[2] (Japanese); Juliet Simmons[3] (English)
Koshi's childhood friend with a tsundere personality and an aversion to tướng being touched due to tướng her body's abnormal reaction to tướng heat, something Koushi often counteracts through the use of ice-packs.
Uzume Shigaraki (神楽 うずめ, Shigaraki Uzume)
A university student who is a frequent visitor to tướng the dormitory.
Takiri Nagino (凪野 たきり, Nagino Takiri)
A university student and Uzume's best friend. She is nicknamed "Nagi-chan" and has a gyaru personality.

Anime[edit]

An anime adaptation was announced in the fifth volume of the manga on May 25, 2020.[15] It was later revealed to tướng be a television series animated by Asread and directed by Shunsuke Nakashige, with Masashi Suzuki handling the series' scripts, and Maiko Okada designing the characters.[2] Tomoki Kikuya is composing the series' music.[16] The series aired from July 14 to tướng September 15, 2021 on AT-X and other channels.[17][18] The five-member unit Megami Ryōsei performed the opening theme tuy vậy "Naughty Love", while Megami Ryōsei+α performe the ending theme tuy vậy "Zettai! Kimi Sengen."[19] Muse Communication licensed the series in South and Southeast Asia.[20] The series is licensed in territories outside of Asia by Sentai Filmworks[21] and the English dub of the series debuted on the HIDIVE platform on August 25, 2021.[3]
